After a fortnight of teaser clips sneaking onto my feed, “Shut Ya Mouth” has finally landed and the wait was worth every day. Killer Hertz and Starz have delivered a full-on, rowdy club track with an official video to match.
“The first bars arrive already mid-argument.”
Starz is the reason I keep pressing replay. The first bars arrive already mid-argument, with no warm-up, no retreat and no surrender, a feisty cadence that treats the mic like a challenge she’s already won. She served up some of the juiciest bars on Silencer x D&B Edition’s “Through Ball Remix” and here she carries that same fire onto a bigger stage. She’s been busy elsewhere too, turning up on Steeze Factory‘s “SF Cypher 34” alongside Alcemist, Harry Shotta, Devilman, Coco, Emporio, Subten and Maddy V, a growing list of collaborations across Drum and Bass and Grime.
“No warm-up, no retreat, no surrender.”
Behind her, Killer Hertz keep a standout year rolling. Erb N Dub‘s outfit has been releasing on Viper all year, from “The Message” in February to “OH YEAH” with Virus Syndicate and Macky Gee, and “Shut Ya Mouth” arrives with the same quality and attention to detail, plus personality, energy and BIG attitude to spare.
“No warm-up, no retreat, no surrender.”
