Beyonce’s DJ Brings Award Winning Mums That Rave to Birmingham This November
The day party reclaiming club culture for mothers returns to Birmingham, Hockley Social Club on Saturday, November 29th from 2-6pm
The day party that’s racking up 90 million views and rewriting the rules of clubland is coming back to Birmingham. Mums That Rave, the award-winning movement founded by internationally acclaimed DJ Nikki Beatnik, returns to Hockley Social Club on Saturday, November 29th from 2-6pm for a Christmas celebration that’s anything but typical.
Since launching in 2019, Mums That Rave has exploded from a radical idea into a cultural phenomenon with 75,000 followers and a waiting list that regularly crashes ticket sites. The concept is simple but game changing: create a space where mothers and women can reclaim their identity as ravers without sacrificing safety, community, or their love of proper music.

“We’re smashing the stereotype that becoming a mum means hanging up your dancing shoes,” says Nikki Beatnik, founder of Mums That Rave and official tour DJ and Musical Director to Kelis. “This is about joy, music, and community. It’s about mothers recognising their contribution to club culture and taking up space on the dance floor again.”

Nikki’s credentials speak for themselves. With a two-decade career spanning 70 countries across six continents, she’s spun for clients including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Formula 1, The British Fashion Awards, Elle Magazine, and the Cannes Film Festival. She’s played everywhere from Glastonbury to Pukkelpop and helped shape London’s club scene by founding multiple legendary nights. As half of electronic duo Beatnik and a respected producer, Nikki knows what makes a dance floor move.
Now she’s channeling that expertise into making nightlife accessible and welcoming for a demographic that’s been largely ignored by club culture: mothers. After 26 parties and millions of engaged fans online, Mums That Rave has proven there’s massive appetite for inclusive daytime events that don’t compromise on music quality or atmosphere.
But the party isn’t exclusive to mums. Solo ravers, aunties, nannies, dog mums, and any woman who wants to “grab life by the disco balls” in a safe, fun setting is welcome. The music policy reflects this inclusive ethos, with sets spanning house, garage, drum and bass, RnB, hip hop, dancehall, club classics, and the freshest beats.

Birmingham’s second official Mums That Rave party promises the same electric energy that’s made the event a must-attend across the UK. Think proper sound system, serious DJ skills, and a crowd that’s there for one reason: to dance.
