I first met D.Base when i was running a London radio station Icecold FM , he originally joined the team as part of the DJ & creative collective ‘Habitual’ along side Paul & Sadiq , they then joined me on the management team & assisted with technical operations & promotions. He has a new website for his creative work & commissions which i want to share with you all.

ABOUT

I started painting street art and graffiti in the early 2000s while studying design. Influenced by the pop art movement, a lot of my early work looked at the relationship between advertising, consumer culture, and what we consider vandalism in today’s world.

Lately, my focus has shifted more toward how my surroundings influence the shapes and forms I create as a graffiti artist. I’ve got a real love for urban photography, typography, and working with communities and those things naturally feed into my practice. Through abstract painting and print design, I like to reimagine the spaces around me and reflect on how we connect with the places we live in.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I see the world through the lens of my camera I’m always chasing the next frame. Whether I’ve got my film camera with me or just my phone. It’s less about the gear and more about being ready to capture something real.

Urban landscapes first pulled me in, but street photography quickly became a favourite. There’s something about the candid, fleeting moments of everyday life that I’m always drawn to. More recently, I’ve been exploring documentary style photography, which has felt like a natural progression. My approach to it is still rooted in the spontaneity and rawness of street photography it’s where my eye feels most at home.

ABSTRACT PAINTINGS

‘Liminal spaces’ refer to places that feel eerie, surreal, or in-between state often evoking feelings of nostalgia, unease, or even peace. The term comes from the Latin word limen, meaning “threshold,” which hints at their transitional nature.

For me, Liminal Spaces are abandoned warehouses, empty industrial sites, buildings awaiting demolishing or even fields in the middle of nowhere. These places take on new meaning, as communities debase their original use for their own. These places gave birth to the illegal rave and graffiti scenes, for a brief moment before being taken back for the sake or corporate expansion.

SIGN WRITING AND MURAL COMMISSIONS

One of my greatest passions in life is painting murals, especially the kind that stretch across massive walls that make people stop in their tracks. There’s something powerful about transforming a blank surface into something that speaks to a place, a community, or an idea. I’ve always been drawn to that energy.
My love for murals was sparked by the work I grew up seeing in South London, those iconic pieces painted in the early ’80s, full of social commentary, community pride, and raw creative force left a mark on me, both visually and emotionally. That sense of purpose in public art stuck with me, and it’s something I carry into every project I take on.
Now, I’m at a stage in my practice where I’m working with clients to bring that spirit into brand activations, using street art to tell stories that create impact, and connect with people on a deeper level. Whether it’s for a commercial space, a campaign, or a community project, I approach each wall with that same sense of purpose and excitement.
